Democracy cannot meaningfully function without an informed citizenry, and such a citizenry is impossible without broad public access to information about the operations of government.

_Ryan Shapiro

Nothing can stop the power of an informed citizenry when it is empowered, organized, and motivated.

_Ralph Nader

Whenever the people are well informed they can be trusted with their own government, that whenever things get so far wrong as to attract their notice, they may be relied on to set them to rights.

Frequently asked questions

You "Pledge"

Q: What do you mean you pledge to fight for US, The People?
R: Before anyone can become a SV Nominee for elected office they have to take the Stakeholders Voice Representative Pledge. Only after taking the pledge, and signing an accountability contract, can they run with the social, political, and financial backing of the Stakeholders Voice Movement. This contract with the people is what makes the entire system work. Our members that want to run for office agree, in a contract, to give some of their power back to the people, where it belongs, in exchange for being voted into office. Has anyone, ever, offered you a direct say in what your representatives do in exchange for your vote?

What is Stakeholders Voice

Q: What exactly is Stakeholders Voice?
R: There are 3 pillars that make up Stakeholders Voice. The 1st is this website. When you become a member, you get access to the Policy Creation System (PCS). The PCS makes it possible for millions of Americans to learn about policies, and at the same time create legislation. The 2nd is The Stakeholders Voice Political Movement (SVM) that gets SV Members into elected office so that they can fight for the policies their fellow Members created. The 3rd is ACCOUNTABILITY. What good is a revolutionary system if our SV Reps just do their own thing once in power, just like everyone else? That's what the pledge and the accountability contract are for. There are real carrots and sticks built into Stakeholders Voice. It’s an entire system with one purpose, put legislative power into the hands of US, The People.

Is Stakeholders Voice a political party

Q: Is Stakeholders Voice a new political party, a grass-roots movement, national or local?
R: YES to all of the above! The goal of the Stakeholders Voice Political Movement (SVM) is to get SV Members elected at every level of government. Once elected SV Representatives are in office they pledge to fight for the policies created right here in the members area. Is there any other platform in the world that gives you the power to create government policy for $2 per month?

Who are Stakeholders Voice Candidates

Q: Who are SV Candidates? Who can become one and how?
R: SV Candidates are normal people just like you! Become a SV Leadership Group or Founders Circle member and bring in new members to get nominated. The community votes for the final candidate. It's that simple!

How will Stakeholders Voice change anything in government

Q: How will Stakeholders Voice change anything in government?
R: Stakeholders Voice isn't just another protest movement; it's a direct path to power at every level of our government. Here's how:
1. Our Members create policy at every level of government. No more shady, backroom agreements and pork-barrel spending.
2. We get our Members elected to fight for those policies until they become law. By taking our own policies straight to the halls of power we shine a light on what politicians in both parties are actually doing AND not doing. This starts to create transparency and accountability.
3. Once we have enough Members in office, we can move our own legislation through the process, and put an enormous amount of pressure on Democrat and Republican representatives to support what their own voters want.

Why would anyone vote for you

Q: In our current hyper-partisan reality why would anyone vote for SV Candidates?
R: Most of our Members will vote for their fellow Members, because you know...tribalism. Beyond that, our pitch to non-members is also super simple: Do you want real legislative power or empty promises? Do you want power or paternalism? You can either have a representative that has taken a pledge to fight for you, or a representative that says one thing and does the opposite.

Politicians giving up power

Q: Why would any politician agree to give up some of their power?
R: Most existing politicians would never agree to give up any of their power, they didn't sign up for that. Which is why we can't get any legislation that would set term limits, get money out of politics, prevent them from doing insider trader, and a million other things. That's why we have to get Stakeholders Voice Representatives into office. They agree in advance to give up a large chunk of their power in exchange for your vote. They do this because they also believe that power belongs with the people, and because they want to win! As a voter, if you have to choose between the candidate that is offering you the same old, tired, empty promises, OR the SV Candidate that is offering you real power in the legislative process, who are you going to pick?

What is Directed Democracy

Q: What exactly is Directed Democracy I haven't heard that term before?
R: Stakeholders Voice is an entirely new kind of non-partisan political organizational pioneering Directed Democracy. Directed Democracy is the blending of direct and representative democracy using cutting edge technology that solves the inherent problems of both systems and creates transparency and accountability at every level of government by putting power into the hands of the people where it belongs. The most amazing thing about Stakeholders Voice is that it solves these seemingly unsolvable problems without breaking our representative democracy in any way. It’s truly democracy 2.0, a way for Americans to thrive in the 21st century.

Who's side are you on anyway

Q: Is Stakeholders Voice Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Green Party, Progressive?
R: WE ARE YOU. At Stakeholders Voice, we believe in empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their government, regardless of their political affiliation. We provide a non-partisan platform with access to fact-based information and diverse perspectives. We promote consensus-building and encourage candidates who are committed to representing the needs and interests of all Americans, not special interests or partisan agendas. We believe that lasting change comes from working together across the political spectrum. We believe that the people that have to live under a law, and pay for that law, should be the ones creating that law.

How can I get involved

Q: I believe in what you're doing, how do I get involved?
R: We're thrilled you're interested in getting involved with Stakeholders Voice! We offer several ways to participate, tailored to your interests and commitment level. Become a member and join our community of Change Makers. If you aspire to lead, consider joining the Leadership Group or Founders Circle, which offer unique opportunities to shape the direction of our platform and even run for elected office.
After you join, the most impactful way you can contribute is by spreading the word. Talk to your friends, family, and neighbors about our mission and how they can make their voices count too. Join US today because we can truly do so much More. Together.

It sounds amazing but...

Q:  It sounds amazing, but how does it all work?
R:  Unfortunately there's no way for us to show you everything, the members area is membership only for a reason! Do you remember the very first time you voted? You probably had lots of questions about where to put your ballot, what to bring, and what happens if you need help. You had a ton of questions, but afterwards you probably felt pretty great about doing your part in our political process! Stakeholders Voice is a revolutionary way to do politics in the United States, and because of that it's going to be a little confusing until you join and actually use the Policy Creation System, start chatting with other members in the forums, and vote for SV Candidates in your next election. Remember how good it felt that first time you voted, now imagine how great it's going to feel knowing that you not only voted but the policies our politicians will be debating in those government buildings were made by YOU!

BUT THE OTHER GUY WILL WIN

Q: Are Stakeholders Voice Candidates just big, stinky spoilers?
R: We are the opposite of spoilers (and I think we smell pretty good too)! Seriously though,  we hear your concerns about election outcomes and safeguarding democracy. Stakeholders Voice aims to strengthen democratic engagement beyond election cycles, offering a non-partisan platform for building consensus across divides. Our focus is on enhancing representation and accountability to prevent the rise of authoritarian figures, not spoiling elections. By empowering citizens with tools for direct policy creation and ensuring representatives genuinely advocate for these policies, we're working to fortify democracy for all Americans. Our shared commitment to democracy underlies our efforts to evolve and protect it, inviting collaboration from supporters left, right, and center.

What about Voting

Q: What are your stances in general on voting?
R: Apparently voting is a hot topic in an election year! Honestly who you vote for is none of our business. That said, the more Members we have, and the more Members we have in elected offices, the more legislation we can pass that was directly created by our Members and that directly benefits ALL voters. As a member, you don't have to vote for SV Candidates. It seems a little counter-intuitive to vote against the people that are vowing to champion your causes, but that's your call. The most important thing is that we get as many people to join us as possible so that when you are finally ready to vote for SV Candidates in your local, state, or national election you have the option to do so. Being a member ensures that you have the OPTION, and freedom is all about having options.

Who's in charge around here

Q: Who's the founder?
R: David Collinsworth is the person that had the idea for Stakeholders Voice in 2017. Because Stakeholders Voice is so unique in politics we are always looking for the right people to build out our team. Luckily, one of the main benefits of building a community is that the people that join the community are often the perfect people to help run it. You might be the person we've been looking for, yes you! Because Dave knew he would have to be the face of Stakeholders Voice, and also knew that many team members just want to do their work in peace, there's a website with a full bio about our founder and you can find it right here www.davidcollinsworth.com
